Here’s a piece I did for @fatefataletarot, Fate-themed tarot card project !
I’m absolutely blessed, I’ve got to draw Mordred, as The Hanged Man ♥
You can pre-order the deck here: https://www.etsy.com/shop/fatefataletarot
I had the great honour to draw a commission for @perplexingly of Mordred and Galaad from the Arthurian mythology – it was so nice to draw and colour (you know I really like pink ahah) – thank you again for your help ! btw commissions are still open :D
Thank you soo much!! It’s so wonderful ♥
Today is the wonderful @perplexingly‘s birthday!! I’m happy that I got to spend the day with youuuu~
SO GOOD SO BEAUTIFUL!! ❤️❤️ I’m so happy, thank you!!!!
A drawing for @newarcana, commissioned by @kothvortena.
The characters are my interpretation of Maris and Bretta from @newarcana‘s game, Guenevere. It was a delight to draw them, thank you for commissioning
❤
You can read about the game over here!
Kay you’re literally a seneschal, how on earth did you not realise that Beaumanis is Gareth!!! Look at them, they’re all ginger!!
(but like, Kay certainly would know all the Orkney brothers just because of their connection to Arthur. And yet. Who’s that kitchen boy that looks exactly like Gareth?? Idk probably some peasant)
“Most of the Scottish chronicles from the late fourteenth century until the early sixteenth present Arthur as having usurped Mordred’s rightful place, rather than the other way around” (Romancing Treason by

Arthurian legends are like, Elaine of Astolat and Elaine of Corbenic are different women both related to Lancelot; Queen Isolde, Isolde of Ireland and Isolde of the White Hands are different women all related to Tristan in a way; in some legends Arthur had three wives, all called
Gwenhwyfar, in some other he only had one but her sister’s name was also Gwenhwyfar, Ywain and Ywain the Bastard are two different sons of Urien
but by the way, Nimue and Vivianne are the same single character, and so are Morgause and Anna
a lil something for @lucrezianoin!
La Legende du Roi Arthur is the only thing I can think of recently so I doodled menellaos’s Mordred design from years ago singing Maleagant’s song
More artbook pieces I never uploaded! Coincidentally, they all follow a theme of someone fleeing haha;;;
The first one is super old, a Cindrella retelling, the next two were for Forgotten Kingdoms Artbook

I've started reading some arthurian tales and now I'm so excited to talk about them to you! First of all, how did you come to ship Mordred and Galahad? In the stories I've read they havn't met, so I'm wondering about the story of the two. Have you ever drawn Percival? And do you know Feirefiz? I think he's barely in any stories, but he seems really cool. Who are your all time favourites characters?
Ohhh write off anon so we can chat about arthuriana more! \ o \
I sort of– got warmed up to the idea of the ship after reading lucrezianoin’s ship manifesto and generally lurking at her blog; I like the juxtaposition of their stories and the potential of their dynamics but I’ve also never read any book where they’d interact (despite their knowing each other making a lot of sense – both were knights of the round table & unwanted sons of men who were best friends so) but I know that they interact in Blessed Bastard. You should ask @lucrezianoin if there are any other books.
I’ve never drawn Percival and I’m not that failiar with Feirefiz, I’m rather “meh” towards the whole Grail quest arc (in fact Galahad used to be a character I disliked the most haha oops;; I definitely do like Percival better)
As for favourite characters, it’s sort of obvious from my drawings but Morgause and Mordred are like– my all-time favourite characters, and I like them in almost every adaptation, whether they’re sympathetic or irredeemably evil. I also really like Lancelot (especially T.H. White’s, where he’s all ugly and sad)
(I also really like Faerie Knight, just because he’s a brother of Black Knight and they have adventures together and the visual image in my head is amazing)
